Dexter (TV Series 2006-2013) - IMDb
Dexter, a forensics expert at day, serial killer with a touch of vigilantism at night. Dexter is creating a believable and very detailed portrait of a, lets say troubled, sociopath. One of the parts about the show I like best is the emotions that normal people exhibit, thus forcing Dexter to mimic them. Good laugh when the emotions Dexter fake get real, and he is scared out of his mind, like in the relationship with his “girlfriend” Rita, mother of two and victim of her abusive ex-boyfriend. Also liked the acting of Jennifer Carpenter as Dexter’s sister Debra, adds a nice touch colour to the show, without drifting into clichés.Thrilling story, many details, and one of the best opening sequences ever.

⚠️ Explanation (Spoiler)
In the original series finale of Dexter, the episode starts with Dexter, Hannah, and Harrison attempting to flee to Argentina but their plan is interrupted when Elway shows up, forcing them to change their escape route. Dexter cleverly creates a diversion at the airport by leaving a backpack under a seat and alerting security, causing a commotion that allows them to slip away unnoticed. They eventually take a bus out of town and catch a plane out of the country.
Meanwhile, Deb, who has been shot by the serial killer Saxon, is rushed to the hospital. Despite her insistence not to involve Dexter, he is informed by Matthews about her condition. Dexter decides to leave Hannah and Harrison to check on Deb. Fortunately, Deb survives the surgery and urges Dexter to leave her and go on with his life.
Saxon, the escaped killer, seeks medical help at an animal hospital and later attempts to confront Deb at the hospital. Dexter intervenes and after a scuffle, ends up killing Saxon. Unfortunately, Deb suffers a complication from a blood clot and is left in a vegetative state with no chance of recovery.
On the other hand, Hannah and Harrison try to escape Miami before a hurricane hits. Elway tries to stop them but Hannah manages to incapacitate him and make their getaway. As for Dexter, he confronts Saxon in jail, ultimately killing him in self-defense.
Following these events, Dexter decides to end Deb’s suffering by disconnecting her life support and gives her a burial at sea during the onset of the hurricane. He then disappears on his boat, leaving behind his life in Miami.
